This set has been restored and sprayed in a glossy burgundy red finish. All rush seats are in good condition, there may be some age related colour variance.
The Carimate chair was born when Vico Magistretti (1920-2006) was conceiving designs for seating at the Carimate golf club in Italy in 1959. The design, which combines traditional Italian craftsmanship and modernist principles has become a classic of understated elegance. This reflects Magistretti background where he and fellow Italian architects aimed to pull the nation into a utopian future after the devastation of World War Two. This approach ultimately led him to hold professorships at the Royal College of Arts in London and the Domus Academy in Milan and his work can be seen in major collections around the world including MoMA, New York and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

All products are set up on our website as optional UK delivery or free collection from SE20 8EF. The delivery fee's are set up based on the size of the item, for smaller items delivery is £30 (paintings and decorative accessories), for medium sized items (chairs or coffee tables) delivery will be £60 and for larger items (dining tables and sofas) delivery is £80.
For smaller items, we charge £25 for overseas shipping. For larger items, please contact us for a courier quote.
