Antique Tabletop Still Life: Ceramic Vessels & Pewter
A captivating oil on canvas still life painting. Rendered in a rich, traditional chiaroscuro style, the painting features an artistic arrangement of vintage ceramic jugs, ornate stone-ware tankards, and metalware against a deep, moody background.
There is a striking contrast between high lighting on the metallic and glazed vessel surfaces against deep shadows, creating remarkable depth and dimension.
There are also exquisite textures and details, highlights include an intricate, floral-decorated lidded pitcher on the left, an ornate pattern-carved central beaker lying on its side, and an open vessel with smooth interior glazing.
In very good vintage condition.
