Beautiful late 19th-century Doulton Lambeth Silicon Ware ewer. Known for its unglazed, matte finish that beautifully mimics fine terracotta or stoneware, this distinct art pottery piece features an intricate, hand-applied sprigged relief decoration.
The bulbous ceramic body is adorned with elegant garlands of muted sage green leaves, dark geometric borders, and prominent cream-colored rosettes that encircle the midsection. A neatly structured zigzag and dot relief pattern wraps around the neck, highlighting the classical, high-lipped pouring spout and slender, textured handle.
